There are a variety of grants available through the US Department of Education with various deadlines throughout the year

For Schools and Teachers

The NEA Foundation Student Achievement and Learning & Leadership Grant Funds fund innovative education programs, classroom projects, and professional development endeavors. The maximum award is $5,000. Rolling Applications Accepted
Kids in Need Foundation’s Teacher Grants funds for schools with 70% or greater free lunch. Up to $500 in grant funding for supplies. Applications Accepted in July and August
Honda: The Power of Dreams Grants The American Honda Foundation engages in grant making that reflects the basic tenets, beliefs and philosophies of Honda companies, which are characterized by the following qualities: imaginative, creative, youthful, forward-thinking, scientific, humanistic and innovative. We support youth education with a specific focus on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects in addition to the environment. Up to $75,000 awarded. Toshiba American Foundation Grants fund the projects, ideas, and materials teachers need to innovate in their science, technology, engineering and math classrooms. TAF is interested in funding innovative projects designed by teachers or small teams of teachers for use in their own schools and classrooms. Grad K-5 applications are accepted once a year on October 1st. Application deadlines for grade 6-12 for up to $5,000 are 6/1, 9/1, 12/1, 3/1. Grant requests of more than $5,000 are reviewed twice a year. Applications for grants of more than $5,000 are due November 1st and May 1st each year

Voya Unsung Heroes Grant The award application is centered on a description of previous projects teachers have worked on or plans they would like to enact in the future to benefit their classroom. Applications are judged on innovation, creativity and the potential to positively influence students. Each year, 100 finalists receive $2,000 grants, with at least one grant awarded in each of the 50 states. Of those 100 finalists, three winners are selected to receive awards of $25,000, $10,000 and $5,000. Applications are due in the Spring of every year

AIAA Foundation Classroom Grant Program The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronauts is dedicated to the importance of STEM education and awards $200 in grants to K-12 teachers who want to incorporate new ways of teaching science, technology, education and mathematics into their classroom. Funds can be used to purchase laboratory equipment, math and science software, robotics supplies and other items that will add depth and dimension to your lessons. Deadline is January 15, 2021
Kinder Morgan Foundation Education Grants In an effort to support tomorrow’s leaders, the Kinder Morgan Foundation funds programs that support the academic and artistic growth of young people. Eligible programs must benefit K-12 youth in communities where Kinder Morgan operates. Areas of focus are academic programming (including tutoring) and arts education, and grant amounts range from $1,000 to $5,000. Deadline: the 10th of every month
Walmart Community Grants are awarded through an open application process and provide funding directly from Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities to local organizations in the U.S. Local Community grants range from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $5,000. Deadline is December 31
