  1. Gyes

    Reliable and Easy

This is one of the few rockets I remember building as a kid. I actually like the old paint scheme better – looks kinda like the Magician – but the rocket is still a solid performer. Construction and finishing are simple as you’d expect – it’s on the easy side of skill 1. There are more interesting rockets out there to build, but this one is a great place to start and you’ll always get serious altitude. Don’t get too attached if you plan on using Cs!

  2. karakoram

    the best first rocket

If you’re looking for a first time rocket then look no further. The Estes wizard is the most easiest rocket to build.

  3. Alan

Good, but use a smaller motor

This is a really nice rocket and I painted it blue and red stripes. Dont use a C6-5 unless you want it to go out of site!

  4. Glen

    Easy building, great performance.

My daughter built this rocket for 4H this past year. The kit was easy to build. She enjoyed the assembly and finishing almost as much as flying it. The Wizard flies perfectly.

  5. JENNA

    wonderful

I have two of these rockets- they are great and very dependable

  6. Mr magoo

    really high

This rocket goes high! and I mean really high. First time I launched it, it went into the clouds. CAUTION DO NOT USE C6-5 ENGINES UNLESS YOU’RE A PRO

  7. Ryan

    Great model!

I use the wizard kits in my class builds. Go together easy and fly great no matter what motor you use. Awesome for beginners and veteran rocketeers alike.

  8. stephen

    flies out of sight

this rocket gives you more altitude for your buck

  9. Bryan

    Great starter kit

Our Cub Scout pack uses these rockets for our annual rocket launch and they are great. The rockets are easy to assemble, fly really well and are incredibly durable. Our scouts fly these rockets over and over again and rarely do any get damaged (from flying that is!).

  10. Bob

    Easy Build

If you are new to rocketry or are looking for a rocket for a beginner, then look no further. The Wizard is a quick easy build that is ideal for young people or those just getting their feet wet in rocketry. This rocket flies well too, just be sure to take time and align the fins as well as you can. Have fun!
