Great Purchase
Love the classic V2 paint scheme. Flies great on both C11’s and D’s. Estes did a fantastic job with this one!

A New Classic
One of my favorite rockets as a kid has been reinvented. This model was built for the D12-5, such a pretty flight. I even used a CTI 24mm composite E in it and the flight was grand. a smokey Sam wake streaming from the boat tail made for a great photo. Keep the classics coming back Estes, I think my generation is coming back to the hobby and kits like these keep us lining up more builds

An amazing rocket that will go high
I recently got this rocket, and it’s incredible. With a little bit of paint work, it will look amazing! This rocket is as about as easy as a level 2. There is only one challenge throughout the building process. That is when you’re making the bottom section. You have to cut a lot of plastic, so keep a spare utility knife handy. When I launched it, it went very high on an E engine. It has absolutely no spin. It just went smoothly up to a very high hight, and the parachute went perfectly. The only issue I had was the fact that the V2’s parachute got stuck in a tree, but we bought another parachute and it’s fine now. The only issues aside from the parachute are the fact that over time the wings will gradually fall out, since they are going in direct contact to an engine. But the rocket turned out to be the best one in my collection. So bottom line: Its amazing, looks good, is a crowd pleaser, and it goes high. So remember, always have a spare utility knife when working with this incredible model rocket.

Great flyer!
This kit is a great choice for a first scale-like rocket. The moulded tail cone makes fin installation easy and the included fin alignment tool keeps them square. The rest of the construction is clearly documented and easily accomplished. I painted my V2 to match the face card and it looks fantastic, both on the ground and in flight! My first flight with the V2 used a D12-5 motor. The flight was absolutely beautiful and straight. The kit recommends the D12-3 and I’d second that as the 5 second delay is a little long. I’m looking forward to seeing what it can do on an E!

Big Slow Dog
The one thing every rocketeer wants to do is to build a rocket and see it lift off the pad slow enough to enjoy it’s ascent! The V2 will give you joy after joy lifting off at a slower rate (slower than skinny rockets) and with the yellow/black paint scheme, you will have this dog in sight the whole flight! And, the descent with the 18-inch parachute will be a beautiful full flight that will please all your crowd!
