    This kit is really impressive

Two members of our rocket club have one and I am finally building mine so we can have a drag race. These kits looks great and are intersting to build. This will be another cool Estes collectors kit.

    More builder’s kits, please!

It’s so great to see Estes finally making more advanced kits again. Those of us “old guys” remember the days of our youth when building skills and practice were rewarded with gorgeous and inspiring models. Pre-fab plastic rockets are great for getting kids started, but to keep them interested, we need to challenge their creativity. The Black Star Voyager is one of those kits that does just that. with a few builds under your belt, and some time spent learning building techniques, you end up with an amazing looking rocket that flies great too.

    Amazing Flight!

This rocket was awesome to fly. It flew almost completely straight! Great rocket. I recommend to fly with D engines.

  4. Daniel

    very cool

The 3-d nature of the “fins” make this a very unique and challenging build. The finished rocket will be a prize to you. Just applied the decals this evening & it looks great!. Can’t hardly wait to see it fly!

    Challengeing and Rewarding

The Black Star Voyager is what model rocketry is all about. This rocket builds into a masterpiece, if time and patience are taken. Once it is built,it is a real head turner every time it is flown. Estes hit it out of the park with this one! More kits like this please!

    What a great design!

Whoever designed this beast had some serious math skills. The Black Star is by far the best looking rocket ever! In the back of my mind I keep thinking of how cool it would be to put some Kevlar or other skin on the fins, something clear would be awesome. Anyway, check my first flight with this magnificent rocket on YouTube under my name above. There is a slow mo video also that sounds KEWL. Best rocket ever………………

    Great kit!

As soon as I saw this kit, I knew I had to have it. It was a great build. I love the look, and the unique fin design. Excellent job Estes!! I flew mine on an AT F39. That is the perfect motor for this kit, straight as an arrow. Looking forward to more great designs like this in the future.

    Challenging, Beautiful, Performer

Rarely do you get this challenging of a build and still wind up with a great flying model. Well worth the effort for the experienced modeler. Looks amazing on launch day. I agree with the suggestion of a larger chute though, luckily I launch on soft ground. It hits a little hard for something that takes this much time. But word to the wise it has decent altitude so a big field is helpful if you do up the chute size.
