(Formerly Skill Level 1)

The Nike Apache− a highly requested scale-like kit that is ready for the sky. While some scale-like kits are quite the challenge to build, the Nike Apache is not! An intermediate level kit, that’s were beginners start to become expert builders! A fairly lightweight rocket combined with an Estes C engine, you can expect some amazing altitude out of this one!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BUILD: Scissors, pencil, ruler, fine sandpaper, carpenter’s glue, plastic cement, hobby knife, masking tape, clear tape, primer (white), paint (red, white, yellow) and clear coat (optional). (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO LAUNCH (sold separately): Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad with a 3/16 inch launch rod and Electron Beam Launch Controller, Estes model rocket engines, starters and recovery wadding. Four 1.5V high quality AA alkaline batteries are also required for launch controller (not included).

    I like this rocket very much because it is very simple and easy to build.It is also easy to modify and gap stage the Apache Which is Very fun!

    I mail order this rocket from Estes in the mid to late 80s launch it countless of time still have it to this day one of the best!!!!
