Position: Aerospace Project Engineer—Control, Electronics, and Software
Job Type:
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Job Location: Penrose, CO
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Estes Industries has immediate openings for engineers interested in control and telemetry systems for small rockets and launchers.  We are seeking one or more electrical engineers experienced in modern control systems, analog and digital electronics, and associated software.  A minimum of a BS degree and five years practical experience is required.  This position is located in Penrose, CO.

Position: Aerospace Project Engineer—Propulsion and Mechanical
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Estes Industries has openings for several aerospace engineering positions in our Penrose, CO facility.  Experience in solid rocket propulsion, thermodynamics, and mechanical or aerospace engineering is required.  A minimum of a BS degree and two years of equivalent experience is required.  This position is responsible for analysis, design, testing a certification of rocket motors and small launch vehicles.  This position is located in Penrose, CO.

Estes Industries has built, and our customers have flown, over 500 million small solid propellant rocket motors over the past sixty years.  Estes supports a broad range of customers in the education, hobby, industrial, defense, and government markets.  We currently have an opening for an experienced aerospace project manager to lead multiple rocket development projects, primarily for our industrial and government clients.

The successful candidate will have a B.S. degree in some engineering or science field and at least five years of equivalent industry experience.  Graduate school or an MBA are a plus.  This is a hands-on leadership position managing all phases and elements of small, fast-paced development projects.  Proposal writing skills are required; customer relations skills are a must.  The position is located in Penrose, CO.

Position: Director of Marketing
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Estes Industries has built, and our customers have flown, over 500 million small solid propellant rocket motors over the past sixty years.  Estes supports a broad range of customers in the education, hobby, industrial, defense, and government markets.  We currently have an opening for an experienced Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and enhance recognition of Estes brand and products across multiple marketing channels, including social media
  • Work closely with General Manager and parent company representatives to define, implement, and manage Estes’s marketing strategy for optimal performance and results to support Estes revenue targets.
  • Craft messaging and positioning in the market; conduct competitive and market analysis to determine and highlight Estes’s key differentiators
  • Build and leverage relationships with industry media to develop recognition of the Estes brand, mission, and movement in the market
  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling stories around Estes announcements and initiatives that resonate with audiences that generate sales
  • Lead customer-centric thinking and develop and execute programs to meet those target markets
  • Develop and execute marketing programs for retail customers and business accounts
  • Establish goals and create strategy for meeting marketing deliverables and metrics
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Product Development Manager to enhance and align efforts
  • Be an effective leader and ensure all marketing programs are successful, metrics-driven, and goal-oriented
  • Work closely with Sales to establish revenue goals associated with Marketing initiatives
  • Experience with marketing operations/technology using CRM applications, data analysis tools and social media platforms.
  • Provide data that attributes sales to marketing efforts.
  • Integrate various technology platforms for unified data acquisition and visualization.
  • Establish policies, processes and procedures to achieve marketing program effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in a marketing or a related discipline
  • Preferred experience marketing consumer product goods.
  • Five years of industry experience.
  • Graduate school or an MBA are a plus.
