This rocket is a great classic. I first owned a D model in the 1970’s as a teenager and I wanted a new one to build with my grandkids. This design has been improved and a bigger size option for engines, I love it

I was really excited to purchase this model. I was happy with the low altitude because the rocket had a slow lift-off and flight, it was amazing to watch. I also enjoyed the construction, it took me just over a week to build, down to the decals and clear gloss coats of paint I sprayed on. I will enjoy this rocket for years and flights to come.

The aramid cord I purchased through Estes Rockets worked just like I needed it to. It is very easy to thread onto an elastic shock cord.

Really a great rocket to build, however I built 2 left wings, so I had to order another kit. Not a problem though I will just have two. Unfortunately, I think I bought the last one available but I'm sure more will be in stock soon. I built my first one back around 1972 and it flew straight. Straight as in across a parking lot and right into a Chevy Station wagon. This one will definitely do better I'm sure since I have had over 50 years of practice.
