I opened the box and everything looks good. I am as happy with the Goddard as I am happy with the Soyuz. Will be assembling them in the near future.

Our family of six children is now entering the second generation of Estes Model Rocketry. We have 11 grandchldren, so we will keep Estes busy. This set is ideal for beginners. The rocket is simple to assemble, and it includes the launcher and everything else you need to get started. Great birthday gift, and the price is right.

I got this kit from HobbyTown with my Christmas money, and it was a blast! I've only built the Prospector and the launchpad, so I'll use the Celestial Explorer for parts. All three times I launched went perfectly! I'll say, the paper is a bit weak and gets dented easily, but that's paper for you.

This is an excellent rocket. Yes, I realize the original had the engine in the front, but this kit is an acceptable compromise to create a stable flying model. Even with the rear-mounted engine and clear plastic fins, on the pad it preserves the appearance of Goddard's original rocket. The plastic pieces fit together precisely with no flash or obtrusive seams. The quality of the molding is first-rate. Assembly is straightforward and relatively easy. The kit is produced in grey so it doesn't need painting, which minimizes the time between the workbench and first flight. Be careful folding the parachute because there's not much room available for the wadding and chute. I may try putting wadding in the engine tube like you do with the Black Brant XII to leave as much room for the parachute as possible. Overall, I give this kit an A+.
