from 1376 reviewsIt works great! No problems, except that the rod is very easy to bend: when you put your launch rod together be gentle! Oh and don't forget to take the cap on the launch rod off before you shoot: (Its a mistake you only make once) Rocket got caught on the cap and ended up taking a piece of the launch rod up about 15 feet, landed on the ground, and deployed the unneeded parachute
There just cool thanks Estes
cool idea, well rendered. so far i've only seen January, which is a proper homage to Vern and the OB (original bangster?) . i like to be surprised each month so i'm not peeking forward. i had an Orange Bullet in my build pile, so i decided to build it in conjunction with the calendar. just waitin' on paint now.
They are always a sure fire way too rocket your ambitions too all New Heights!!!! .... way too GO Estes!!!!!!
This rocket is classic Estes all the way. I have been building rockets since the age of 10 and I'm in my 60's. There are some comments about having to cut the slots for the fins. It's a challenge, but I enjoyed it. It's easy to push the rocket tube in when you are cutting the slots. Try this trick to help make the job easier. Assemble the motor mount tube first. Then slide it into the body with out gluing it. The rings on the motor mount will support the body tube while you're cutting the slots. It works very well. Also, don't try to cut the slots in one shot. Use several passes until the knife finally cuts through. And use a new, sharp, blade! Hope this helps. AJ ;)
Exactly what we needed and the instructions were easy to understand. We launched our rocket off 10 times and are excited to order more engines and keep the science going!
I like being able to mark my work without having to use a doorway. I can carefully mark tubing at my work bench. I really like that.
Beautiful prints . Going to be fun to have up thru the year .
This little guy lives up to his name: very satisfying hi altitude flights even with b64s. It is pretty heavy for a tumble recovery rocket, and if it lands on anything hard, fins will break. I keep some superglue handy when I fly this one. But even after each fin breaking off and being glued on (it took an exceptional beating on one landing) it still flew great! AWESOME rocket! This speedy rocket needs to be in your collection!!
Since I worked on it, I felt I needed a display model.
Perfect for my use, and reasonably priced.
Easy to build, the grandkids love it, coolest rocket! I built basswood fins with tabs for strength.
Haha me and the kids had fun building the rocket and love blasting it off
It has been awhile doing rockets with young boys
Thanks for speedy delivery
This is a great epoxy product. I like the fact that it is clear and very versatile. Estes makes it a speedy and simple order process for all of my needs.
I look forward to classic bring backs! A Super X -Ray would be so cool…..
