Good quality, but haven't tried it out yet

51 years ago I got the original der red max. I loved that rocket. So getting the mini and building it was more fun than i thought it would be. Only issue I had was a cracked fin but I was able to trace and cut one out of the balsa wood I had left over. I'm planning on getting another bigger rocket soon, glad to see Estes is still in business.

Just a really cool kit. Easy to build. Replacing the balsa with basswood and will adjust motor size accordingly. I’m going to paint it just like the photo. Even though I’m at mid-power going for Level 1 I still enjoy these smaller ones rockets.

Beautiful fully built model. Years back I bought the version I built from the ground up. It flew great and was a great model kit to build
