Balsa, just that wonderful balsa. Fins and nose cone just got a few coats of sanding sealer to show off the grain. Old style build for a classic rocket.

I have 2 of these kits now. I use the first one as a test rocket when we get to the field to test rod angle and win sheer. the second kit i used to build the core of a custom tsar bomba. Such a good kit for a really good price. easy to build and fun to fly.

Very challenging build. Getting the fins to line up and fit together and to the airframe takes skill and patients. Really good looking model. Can hardly wait to fly it.

I haven't had a chance to put it together yet.

The more expensive aluminum retainers are not needed for mid-power 29 mm motors. Rough up with sandpaper the inside surface of the retainer and the exterior surface of the motor tube before applying epoxy to mount the retainer.

Costly to get this set delivered to Ireland but well worth it. Kids love it, helps develop their interest in rocketry also

Agree with others re the robustness of the pad. Though I've not yet used it, it is appropriate for mid-power, but not high-power.

Reviewing to note that the plastic caps at the end of the legs were loose in the shipping box. Scruff them and the inside of the legs up, and secure with epoxy.

This is a nice little camera for you rockets. I've been using this product for a God while now. It's really nice seeing the footage as you rockets lift off and kand with sound. Great item. Don't miss out, get one! Here is a photo of my Astron Omega Staging. Please secure it tightly for long delay motors. I lost one with long delay.
