I really enjoyed building the Estes Soyuz Pro Series II. This kit was definitely a journey and challenged me to learn several new building and finishing techniques along the way. The detail is excellent, and once completed it makes a very impressive display model.

I did run into some trouble with the decals after applying my clear coat too heavily, but that was a finishing mistake on my end rather than an issue with the kit. I ended up making custom replacement decals and chose Soyuz TMA-2 mission markings, which made the finished rocket feel even more unique.

The strap-on boosters and overall shape make this a more involved build than a typical Estes kit, but that was also what made it so rewarding. I’m very happy with how mine turned out and would recommend it to anyone looking for a detailed, challenging scale rocket project.

The kit is great for beginners. 20 boys/girls (grades 3rd thru 8th grade had a great time building and flying rockets. Assembly was easy. Instructions were easy to follow. To help boys/girls easily identify their rockets (since they were all the same), we provided strips of various colors of 'adhesive-type paper' for boys/girls to customize their rockets.

This box will turn into whatever my imagination is capable of building. What a great kit..

I had a Cherokee D when I was around 18, or 19, it was my favorite. I stopped building and flying not long after that. A few years back I had a hip replacement. Not allowed to drive for nine weeks I started building again. and the Cherokee E caught my eye. I built one. It now has a cracked fin, so I made it display only. So, this is my 2nd kit because it is easy to build and looks great in the air, or on ground. This one still needs painted. By the way I'm 73 now, and it is just as much fun now as when I was 19.

Works great, and it survived a 2 stage Cato, where it free fell from 500 feet and landed on the club trailer.

Estes is such a great rocket company.
They have amazing rockets that are very high quality and well priced.

NOTE:does not come with yellow glue, though I recommend buying a good amount of yellow glue because almost every Estes rocket requires yellow glue.

These motors performed amazingly during my first launch

When I was in 8th grade I build an Estes version of this rocket that was much larger. To me, this model is more of a show piece than one I want to shoot. It's such and important part of history. I hope this can be used by teachers to share the importance of this rocket.
