First, I really like this design, it's a nice update of the original Centuri kit. The fact that Lee Piester was involved in the re-design is a real plus! It's a fun build, with more detail than a typical kit. I built it mostly stock, changing only the fin spike color to better show them off. There is a significant amount of masking to get the recommended colors, though painting the plastic parts separately helped. I found Tamiya TS-12 Orange is a very good color match for the orange decals. The water-slide decals went on very nicely, thick enough to not tear or fold under., yet still thin enouigh to lay down well. I substituted an Estes 18" thin-mil nylon chute for a more gentle recovery. A C5-3 makes for a very good flight.
Had a great time with my son building and launching this rocket!
Hard build but super fun....should be ready for orbit next wk with the kids!
I bought Vulcan for a desktop decoration. I am not sure if I will ever fly it but I hope to.
It seems like an easy to build and nicely put together rocket.

Love Estes Rockets! They are like a Time Machine for a 70+ year old guy teaching his grandson about model rocketry! No stickers this order though!!
