from 2899 reviewsI've been buying and building Estes rockets since 1969, and I've seen a steady decline in kit quality as the product market has shifted toward youngsters and short-interest toys. This single kit effectively remediates all the toys Estes has produced in the past several years.
I hope that the Soyuz is a precursor to an Estes renaissance of sorts ... one kit of this caliber every year or so makes up for a multitude of corporate missteps over the past half-century.
I enjoy these engine motor mount kits my sister Katie chambon suggested to me to buy a replacement engine motor mount to repair bubbies Big Bertha model rocket that original engine motor mount when it was damaged so I took up my sister suggestion and bought this and it was a great kid I really enjoy it thank you Esther so much for repair kits to repair damage rockets looking forward to do more business with you guys again in the future may God bless you all.
A fun kid to build love it very much can't wait to launch it in the springtime with my niece and nephew thank you guys for such wonderful products.
Opened the box was happy with the quality of the blow molded pieces
Very simple kit. Camera is easy to use and works as expected.
A nice upgrade to my old astrocam that used 110 film.
Nice, clean nose cones. I'm using them for scratch building fin-mounted engines on landing rockets for a sci fi miniatures wargame.
We did our initial launch of the Roto Rocket from the NASA facility in Greenbelt MD. It flew beautifully, and came down with the bottom half deploying the parachute and the top half under Roto recovery. Both parts performed wonderfully. Unfortunately the parachute half will be remaining at the very top of a 100 ft tree on the NASA grounds as a monument to just how well this rocket performed. Note to self: Fewer trees next time.
Beautiful kit looks great all put together taller and heavier than expected took some liberties with the paint scheme hopefully Estes will come out with a Gemini titan kit of the same quality
These "new" shock cord anchors only arrived a few days ago, and I haven't tried them out yet, but am anxious to do so. I'm an old-timer who has only ever known the process of folding a stiff piece of paper into thirds to create the shock cord mount.
Honestly, I have yet to start in on the Nike Smoke build; however, all of the components are of Estes quality and Im have no reason to believe that tis rocket is going to be sub par in any form and/or fashion. Looking forward to building and flying this scale rocket!!
Typical high quality components that Estes is known for. Always a pleasure building up Estes rockets!!
