No complaints about the Pro Series II controller. Works like a charm! Recommend it 100%

I have quite a few complaints about the Launch System on the other hand. First, I thought the system would have included end caps (which I’m not sure why they wouldn’t). It wouldn’t cost much to include them considering the premium price you are paying. If you want to add some end caps to yours, head to your local appliance store and look for some 1 1/4 inch end caps. Another problem I had was how much the rod would swivel. I would put the rocket down and it would shift to the left or right. Solved this problem by buying some 1/4″ – 20 hex nuts and replaced the nut that the kit comes with.

Had I known how flawed the Launch System is I would have built one myself instead of purchasing this kit. Would not recommend buying.

great kit works better than the other launch remotes and the launch pad

I hate that Estes won’t let you put things that are out of stock in your cart I do love Estes stars for Estes in general.

When I use a a 3/16th rod and tighten the system down, it won’t stay straight. As soon as I put a rocket on. It slowly starts to lean to the side the rocket on, making it unable to launch at an angle I want. I’ll need to find a way to fix this without buying a whole new unit

It’s a pretty good system but it was extremely stupid of Estes to NOT include end caps for the part that goes into the ground. This would have kept the whole system cleaner and hardly added any cost (I picked some up at my local hardware store for less than a dollar).

I contacted Estes support and they said it wasn’t “designed” for end caps. They didn’t even state the size of the plastic pipe correctly. What useless support! The correct size is 1 1/4 inch for those of you that want to add what Estes overlooked.
