First one for grandson so he can carry on tradition I passed to my son. He loved building it.

10 year old grandson could understand the directions, and assemble everything easily.

These engines are amazing- even in a slightly heavier rocket with a tube that is larger than the engine diameter. great stuff!

I have several kits to build and it is great to see the consistency in the kit qualities.

On a separate note, years ago Estes products included a template for actual size of fins. This is extremely useful to repair rockets from hard landings (and storage accidents at home.). It would be fantastic to see these included for all kits!

Easy to build for those with limited attention spans, will spark interest and imagination. I would recommend Estes add some options for acquiring suitable decals or stickers.

This is a great little rocket. It is much better than the Mosquito. Having fins made of paper allow you to build it without the use of sanding sealer. The fin attachment is far easier as is recovery. Simple to build and simple to fly. I use it as a bonus rocket in my rocket camp for those who finish their build before the others.

In the mid sixties when i began Model Rocketry the Estes K-6 Astron Ranger was considered Huge. A far cry from this great Mega Der Red Max, they both hold the same qualities in being Huge for their time being made by Estes. Another excellent rocket to build, fly or collect, im glad i secured me one for my collection. Thanks for bringing it back.

This set brought many memories to min about teaching my son how to fly rockets. Now I'll be teaching my granddaughter. <3

I love the two parts of the Rockets the issue was that with a cross fire it was a little difficult and at the end I gave up because they would just not work every time I would sand down the nose cone either the nose cone was too tight but once I was able to sign it down the nose gun was perfect the issue was actually the mount it was too tight I painted everything we sanded everything down for the crossfire is too tight the Amazon was really nice but actually I don't have anything to say about it it's just real love I love it
