my original order had the wrong engines. these were sent to me to correct the problem. the associate i spoke with on the phone was friendly and took care of the issue immediately. i have loved this company since I was a kid. i am now building and lauching rockets with my grandchildren.

Looking forward to assembling this Alpha kit. My first rocket was the Alpha back in the early 70's when I was in Junior High. It was a simple kit, but always flew flawlessly! Loved it. Also had a Sandhawk, Aerobee 300, Patriot and Xray rocket. Thanks

I love the Mega Der Red Max.. We bought 3 of them..I purchased one for a gift for a good friend who is gonna love it im sure...I remember when this rocket came out in the late 1970s or early 1980s???.As a kid the Red Max, the Maxi brute X-wing and the 1st version of the space shuttle were the coolest rockets out on the market for sale....I wish I could find that 1st generation space shuttle. I remember it being a skill level 5 and the booster rockets had engines and parachutes..I know there's been other space shuttle models made but the 1st generation space shuttleis the one I keep searching ebay for.. I have a N.I.B maxi brute X-wing and all of the other ESTES star wars rockets and love them all....

It’s all about the rocket science great for young minds to experience.

Part of the reason I build rockets is to experience the satisfaction of having built and finished it. Working with balsawood and basswood materials adds to the art aspect of the hobby. On the contrary, plastic parts simplifies assembly taking away from that satisfaction. As a result, I screen all kits from Estes and other manufacturers seeking eliminating plastic kits. I hope you continue to resurrect old designs like the Avenger and others including all wood products.

Starting a new generation in model rocketry. I know they’re going to enjoy the catalogue and calendar.

This is the coolest rocket. I’ve wanted to build this for sometime. But buying one on eBay is insanely expensive if you can even find one. The only thing better would be a reissue of the MARS LANDER or an upscale MARS LANDER.

Good value to increase my inventory of engines for next season.

This Estes kit is one of my favorites to build. The attention to details shows through. Even something like the cute raccoon in the instructions.
The build materials put the kit into the same category as ones by LOC precision. Wood centering rings, wood bulkhead, rail buttons, kevlar shock cord, custom chute graphics, etc....
The instructions leave nothing to chance and include helpful trash panda tips as well.
The perfect introduction kit to higher power rockets.

Love the design but the motor tube spacers disks are too thin between tubes. Might want to use larger body tub and space the motor tubes out more.
