Overview

The Estes A8-0 booster engine is built for dependable, confidence-inspiring performance. As a standard 18 mm booster with a quick thrust profile, it is designed to give your lightweight rockets a reliable push during the initial phase of flight. Pilots who use the A8-0 appreciate its crisp ignition and steady output that make staging simple and rewarding.

Beyond raw numbers, the A8-0 stands out for how predictable it is at the field. That predictability translates into cleaner flights, easier flight planning, and more consistent altitude results when you repeat the same setup. Whether you are launching at your neighborhood club, teaching a new flyer, or refining a multi stage rocket, this engine makes each launch feel controlled and enjoyable.

Safety and ease of use are core to the A8-0 experience. The engine integrates seamlessly with standard Estes hardware and ignition systems, and its short burn duration reduces the complexity of recovery timing for boost stages. That simplicity helps new builders learn staging fundamentals while giving experienced rocketeers a dependable component for weekend flights.

Ready to launch more without second guessing your boost stage? Stock up on A8-0 engines and bring dependable lift to every flight. They are a practical choice for hobbyists who value repeatable results, predictable performance, and the pure joy of watching a well timed ascent.

Reliable engines

Even though I made a mistake in ordering these engines, I know they will work in what ever new model I make with the correct size tube.

The 2nd stage, well. not so much. Breeze aloft took it to the biggest tree around. At least its easy to see a the top of the tree...
