Overview

A sport rocket at its core, the second booster of this multistage flying model rocket will push this Bertha skyward, reaching twice the height of Big Bertha. The Boosted Bertha will reach altitudes of  up to1000 feet when powered with an Estes C6-0 engine in the booster stage and an Estes C6-5 engine in the main rocket.

After the first stage ignites, the booster jettisons and gently tumbles back to earth. Once the rocket reaches apogee, the rocket will deploy the recovery system—a colorful 18 inch parachute. This provides the Boosted Bertha a light landing so that it can be quickly prepared for another launch.

Quality Estes body tubes, laser cut wood fins, a molded plastic nose cone, and easy-to-apply waterslide decals make for a full day of building enjoyment. This Bertha is a must-have for any rocket collector!

Too bad it went sideways

As mentioned by several reviewers and seen in the attached video below, this rocket launches very slow on the first engine which alters trajectory and sends it sideways

Big and Retro Visual Delight

Still in my "yet to assemble" stash, Boosted Berta has great appeal and is a direct descendant from Estes's early days "heavy," the Astron Ranger. I already know that my paint scheme will reflect the black and white tracking patterns of the glory days of White Sands Proving Grounds 1950s V-2 ventures out of the atmosphere.

Boosted Bertha

Fun and easy to build. Been to busy to shoot it off but anxious to do it.
