SpaceX Falcon 9

Sku: 002161

The Space X Falcon 9 is the world’s first human-rated, reusable launch vehicle. This scale model rocket can lift payloads to LEO and geosynchronous orbits, or even to Mars. There’s nothing else like it in the world! And now Estes and Space X have collaborated to create a highly accurate 1:100 scale flying model of the remarkable Falcon 9 rocket topped with a Dragon Crew spacecraft. Looks great on its custom display stand or soaring up to 300 feet on a recommended Estes engine.

  • Precision 1:100 scale reproduction
  • Detailed Dragon Crew Spacecraft
  • Accurate silkscreened markings
  • Custom Display Stand
  • Removable plastic fins for stable flight
  • Large 24 in. parachute

SpaceX Falcon 9 Model Rocket has its own unique story. On May 30, 2020, astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken climbed aboard their Dragon Crew spacecraft. These people did something no one had ever done before : they rode a reusable commercial rocket to orbit. Thus, it marked the beginning of the Next Space Age.

Until that moment, human space flight had always been the purview of nations. Launching objects and humans into space to 'slip the surly bonds' required more resources and expertise. Neither an individual nor a corporation could afford it. Space flight was expensive. Space flight was difficult. Space flight was a rare commodity. But not anymore. Now, finally, human space flight was attainable with Falcon 9 model rocket.

Revolutionary Invention - SpaceX Falcon 9 Model Rocket

This extraordinary two-stage launch vehicle, designed and manufactured by Space X, is able to safely lift more than 50,000 lbs into orbit. Remarkably, after a successful launch, the first stage returns to Earth for an upright, powered landing and a precision touchdown, ready to launch another payload into orbit. There’s never been anything else like it!

Now, Space X has collaborated with Estes to create a 1:100 scale launchable reproduction of the Falcon 9 rocket with its Dragon Crew spacecraft payload.

And just like the actual Falcon 9 :

  • it can be re-launched over and over again
  • The fully assembled scale Falcon 9 is composed of molded plastic parts with silk-screened markings and comes ready to fly.
  • Show off your SpaceX Falcon 9 model rocket with the included custom display stand, or store in its specially designed collectable case.

Every launch of your Estes Falcon 9 rocket will be an event! Though it won’t reach orbit, you can expect launches up to 300 feet on a recommended Estes engine. Recovery is via 18-inch parachute – sorry, powered return to pad is not a model rocket recovery option at this time!

A fantastic model on display or in flight, this Estes and SpaceX Falcon 9 collaboration belongs in your collection today!

From the Designer

"The development of the Space X Falcon 9 model was the most challenging project I believe that I’ve undertaken. Also, one of the most fulfilling. I hope to do more models in conjunction with Space X in the future.
This is the most detailed Space X model on the market. The detail was taken from actual Space X files. As a consumer I believe you will not be disappointed in this model. Exceptional detail and a great flight profile. "

Ron McClaren, Designer

Excellent 10/10

Packaging details are 10/10! Rocket is beautifully put together. A total piece of art for the wall as well as a flyer! Flew on the c5-3 and was stable and smooth! 10/10 5 Stars. Thanks Estes Go for Launch’

Obviously, it's too expensive - let's get that out of the way right off the bat. But we all know why that is the case... That being said, as an ETF geared towards small kids (my son is 4 and not sanding and painting a rocket), it's super durable and well built so he can play with it without worrying about breaking it like the traditional rockets I've made for him. It flies slower than any rocket I've ever seen (on a C5-3) while still flying perfectly straight, and is super cool to watch. Though I will say it doesn't TOUCH 300ft. I'd say this thing is going 150 max. Every other Estes rocket has pretty accurate max altitudes listed, but this one is completely off base. Overall it's a beautiful, great flying (albeit low) rocket.
