I had the idea that using the PS2 Booster plus other PS2 parts was a low-priced route to a respectable mid-power rocket...I'm not totally sure yet. The tube, tube coupler and nosecone are all very high quality. The tubes have such minimal spirals as to be fine unpainted.
The only disappointment I found: Estes PS2 parts seem to be 2 inch outside diameter which makes them not fit in a useful way with any other parts I could locate. I wanted a same-diameter payload section on my rocket and couldn't come up with any way to do it. I am going to get the reducer, the 2.5 inch nose cone, and a section of 2.5" tube to add a "hammerhead" payload bay. Please develop a solid coupler or a bulkhead that works with a hollow coupler for payload sections...and centering rings for centering a 29mm tube inside the 2" and 2.5" tubes.
